Mountain Walks

Before dawn I awoke very suddenly & shot out of bed,
Not a burglar this time but the toilet desperately needed to be fed,
Morning coffee plus some leftover food,
Then invited out for a walk with a local dude,
A few hours up the mountain a group of us all walked,
While learning about each other’s life journeys we talked,
The original plan was to leave today south, to continue the trip,
If we don’t get the miles done we will lose the weather & need to ship,
So tired after the hike I relaxed on the chair,
Only to be awoken by Kelly with her loving stare,
Off to bed after quickly brushing my teeth,
Hopefully a quiet night without another thief.
