Onto My First Ever Flight

Packed our remaining things and threw what can’t go on the flight,
Late out as usual but I completed our paperwork in spite,
Off towards the airport on public transport was fine,
But our flight had been delayed so now we have plenty of time,
Sitting around while worrying about baggage checks is tiring,
But the only way you’ll know is to go through them umpiring,
Breezed through all checks so far & now we wait,
Another four hours before we leave & still no gate,
This will be my first ever time taking flight,
I hope I’m calm as panicky Wiggy isn’t a pretty sight.
