We believed we had prepared to stop the ants,
We were definitely wrong and now we have a day wondering if they’re in our pants,
A few hours of packing while removing insects was a stress,
Then as we left I binned Queenie in hidden sand but no damage, success,
A long boring ride down straight roads did nothing for the soul,
Then stuck in traffic due to a football match made us short of our goal,
So we stopped at a camp for the evening to rest,
Then we meet the Africa Twin we met yesterday we had a jest,
He’s been travelling about the same length as us on the road,
Maybe he should run with us for a while, share the load.
