Off towards the mountains we pointed the bike,
But in the hope of riding the technical passes not hike,
After one mile we stopped to clean our gear,
Then half a mile later into a fuel station we steer,
Three miles later we stop again as Kelly wanted to eat,
Our mountain run was already looking an unlikely feat,
If we continued like this forty three stops we would require,
Definitely not the sort of riding day I would like to aspire,
Eventually we got on the road to rack up the miles,
But before too long darkness enveloped our smiles,
Thankfully we found a place to sleep after a bit of searching,
Then we got to sleep after food from a restaurant who were still serving.

No, I’ve lost weight. It’s just the rain poncho is baggy & makes me look chunky.
