Coastal Roads Make For Lovely Rides

A good night’s sleep helped the day start right,
Followed by breakfast we left down the coast with the sky bright,
The night before had thunder & rain,
But today started with sun with more of the same,
The coastal road was pretty & well kept,
Driving along with sports cars our positions we lept,
No racing for us as we ride for pleasure,
Stopping for the views & pictures we’ll treasure,
Arrival at our apartment in good time after a perfect ride,
Then out for a lovely meal in a vegan restaurant at the seaside,
Walking back to our place a different route we passed the harbour filled with boats moored,
Before too long we retired to a bed only to find thin sheets a lumpy pillow & an uncomfortable headboard.
